These figures show little or no consistent pattern across areas. It says nothing about any individual case.

• The age of who bought, not who lives here: This is the age of who bought in the year shown, not the area's resident population. An area with few sales is described by a small number of buyers.
• What's for sale shapes this more than who wants to live there: New apartments and large family houses attract very different buyer ages regardless of who would like to live in either -- this figure describes the housing stock that changed hands, not a preference.
• Sale volume varies a lot between areas: CRP15's own measured range across all 166 LEAs and 3 published years: at least 60 sales in every LEA-year, a median of 260, none below 30 -- healthy overall, but an area's own dot can still rest on a smaller sample than a busier neighbour's.
• CSO Frontier Series -- methods still under development, 2024 only: CRP15 is published under CSO's Frontier Series programme: an early-stage statistic, built from an experimental match of Revenue stamp-duty and other administrative records, whose methodology CSO itself describes as still under development. It has not yet reached National Statistic status. Both axes are pinned to 2024, CRP15's latest published year for both statistics, and count conveyances at legal completion ("Execution"), not the earlier stamp-duty filing date.
