This is not South-West's true population, and a per-capita rate computed from it is not directly comparable to a region where every member is counted.
- Census years only, not a continuous series: This is CSO's actual Census of Population count, taken once every five years (2011, 2016, 2022) — not a modelled annual estimate. A figure from a year between censuses is not published here at all; the 'latest' point can be several years old.
