Irish public data, by county
StatsMapped

Eighteen dataset families — housing and supply, crime, health, the economy and social welfare — published as individual series per county in Ireland, from seven official publishers. Click a county for its figures, or open a dataset for the full breakdown.

Why the caveats matter

Every figure carries the publisher's own caveats. Where a statistic is published for a wider area than a county, or where the publisher itself flags it as unreliable, the page says so rather than quietly rounding it off.

Median sale price — every local electoral area ranked

Figures as of 2024, published by CSO PxStat. Accessed 2026-09-03.

Colour shows the 12-month change in the median price actually paid, from the Property Price Register. Published for each county; a separate, annual figure from CSO's own CRP15 series is also published for each local electoral area, but the two are not directly comparable -- different publisher, different cadence. Medians move sharply in small areas -- the quarter must contain at least 30 full-market sales to appear at all.

Two or more areas with the same figure share a rank -- the next rank is skipped (e.g. two areas tied for 1st means the next entry is ranked 3rd, not 2nd).

Before you use these figures

  • CSO Frontier Series — methods still under development: CRP15 is published under CSO's Frontier Series programme: an early-stage statistic, built from an experimental match of Revenue stamp-duty and other administrative records, whose methodology CSO itself describes as still under development. It has not yet reached National Statistic status.
  • Median, not mean: Property prices are strongly right-skewed -- a handful of high-value sales would drag a mean upwards. The median is the honest summary of a typical sale, and cannot be meaningfully summed or averaged across areas.
  • Completed sales only, all buyer and transaction types combined: This figure counts conveyances at legal completion ("Execution"), not the earlier stamp-duty filing date, and combines every buyer composition and transaction type CSO publishes into one headline median.
  • Latest figure 2024: This series is annual; the most recent published figure is 2024, 2 years before 2026. That may reflect the publisher's release schedule rather than missing data.
